The symposium provides a dedicated space to discuss:

• Challenges faced by scholars in Syria.

• Principles for reforming higher education in Syria.

• Challenges and Needs of Syrian Researchers in the UK.

A series of academic seminars discussing the challenges and key priorities in this transitional phase in Syria, focusing on core issues such as transitional justice, governance, rebuilding the economy, community reconciliation, and higher education reform, with the participation of a group of Syrian academics and researchers specialised in their fields.

Today, a brutal 54-year dictatorship in our home country, Syria, has come to an end. In this regard, we invite all Syrian academics and researchers in the UK to join our upcoming meeting on Thursday at 9 AM UK time. Let us put our minds and hearts together to think about how we can contribute to building Syria the way we envision it. 

This innovative event brings together artists and academics from across the UK to envision a post-conflict Syrian society rooted in justice, equality, and reconciliation. Through the lens of 'Hidden Identities,' participants will engage in a dialogue and share their work to visualize the unseen, give voice to the unheard, and paint a picture of a future Syria where all identities are acknowledged and celebrated.

A workshop that aims to provide an opportunity for Syrian academics and artists in the UK to learn about each other’s work and explore collaborative potential. It aims to showcase participants' research, share academic journeys impacted by the Syrian conflict, and foster collaborative projects.
