Syria in the Transitional Phase – Challenges and Priorities
The Syrian Academics and Researchers Network, in collaboration with Oxford Syria Society and the SANAD Development Team, is organising a series of academic seminars to discuss the challenges and key priorities in this transitional phase in Syria. These seminars will highlight core issues such as transitional justice, governance, rebuilding the economy, community reconciliation, and higher education reform, featuring Syrian academics and researchers specialized in their fields.
The seminars will be held weekly, every Monday at 4:00 PM Damascus time (2 PM UK time), starting from April 14th for a duration of 7 weeks, providing a platform for in-depth dialogue about the future of Syria and potential pathways for transformation. The sessions will be conducted via Google Meet and are open to everyone.
For residents inside Syria, the seminars can be attended at one of the SANAD centers, where group discussions will also be held after each session. Details of the locations are below.
